JPDC Christmas Classical Workshops
Saturday 20th December in Studio at No.6, Hassocks.
9:30-11:30am - Junior Ballet Technique and Mirlitons/Candy Canes (approx. G2/3)
11:45-1:45pm - Inter Ballet Technique and Waltz of the Snowflakes (approx. G4/5)
2:00-4:15pm - Senior Ballet Technique and Sugarplum Fairy (approx. Int/Adv)
£20pp or £22pp (seniors only) - £18/£20 if booked by Friday 21st November.
These workshops are open to all dancers working at the appropriate level in any ballet syllabus at any dance school. Each session will cover barre and centre ballet technique as well as pre-pointe or pointe work as appropriate. Technique work will be followed by repertoire workshops for each age group looking at different pieces of choreography from The Nutcracker.

What are the benefits of holiday workshops?
Holiday workshops offer young dancers crucial opportunities to further their technique training coupled with the freedom to explore their artistry and performance skills.
With extended class times compared to their usual termly sessions, dancers can enjoy the chance to delve into their classical ballet foundations, receive personalised corrections, and explore new, challenging technique material. Alongside this, students learn excerpts from well-loved ballet repertoire, giving them the chance to apply their technique in a more expressive, performance-based setting. Repertoire sessions help build musicality, confidence, and storytelling skills—essential qualities for any developing artist!
These workshops are also a wonderful way to stay motivated over the holiday breaks. Dancers can spend time with their peers, work with different teaching styles, and experience the supportive, uplifting environment Joanne Penner Dance Coaching is known for.
Whether your dancer is aiming for auditions, preparing for future intensives, or simply looking to grow their love of ballet, our holiday workshops provide enrichment, challenge, and joy in equal measure.

Booking is open for JPDC coaching over the winter holiday!
As ever these sessions can be booked for 30/45/60 minutes (or longer on request) and be used for 1-1 sessions or split between 2/3 dancers if working at the same level. Remember you do not have to be a current JPDC student to sign up for holiday coaching sessions - these are open to all dancers! You may choose to focus on syllabus or unset ballet, contemporary, dancer conditioning, and/or competition dances in these sessions.
Dates: Thursday 18th December, Friday 19th December, Saturday 3rd January.
Locations: Studio at No.6, Hassocks and Profiles Studio, Hassocks.
Pricing: 30 minutes = £24, 45 minutes = £36, 60 minutes = £48.
