NEW FOR 2025 - JPDC Classical Associates! See more below.
21st century training for 21st century dancers.
At JPDC we provide a challenging yet supportive environment for dancers of all levels, and believe that every dancer has the potential for excellence. We're passionate about sharing our knowledge with our students, and helping them realise their goals.

We follow multiple dance syllabi as well as implementing unset work into our teaching methodology as we believe this allows our students to become truly well-rounded and thoroughly prepared for the professional industry. JPDC holds membership with the Royal Academy of Dance, the ISTD, Cecchetti UK, and Rambert Grades.

Joanne Penner Dance Coaching places student care and welfare at the centre of their approach.
We have a lot to offer those who train with us, dancing with JPDC can include a variety of classes, styles, and performance opportunities each year.
Previously our students have gained places to dance at The Royal Ballet School, Central School of Ballet, Tring Park School, Sam Stanley Associates, Trinity Laban Conservatoire and more.
New for 2025, we are pleased to introduce the JPDC Classical Associates, a Sunday scheme tailored for dancers working at Grades 3-4 and Grade 5+.
This program consists of six classes per term, designed to effectively complement your weekly training. Participants will have the opportunity to refine their skills, boost their confidence, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for ballet within a professional and supportive environment.
Miss Joanne also teaches weekly classes in Ballet and Contemporary dance for all ages, following the RAD, Cecchetti, and Rambert Grades syllabi.
All weekly dance students also have the option to take annual exams and performances, as well as audition for competition troupes. These classes are offered with AgnesMDance where you can also study Jazz, Tap, Acro, and Musical Theatre!
We specialise in offering more extensive training to those hoping to audition for vocational (pre-professional) training at either 16 or 18 years old.
Joining JPDC as a pre-vocational student means a weekly commitment to ballet, pointe, contemporary, and flexibility and conditioning classes, and (a minimum of) one private coaching class. This pathway is available from school year 7 and upwards.
Receive personalised guidance through 1-1 coaching from Joanne Penner Dance Coaching.
These sessions are tailored to the dancers individual needs and goals, and are particularly useful for students wishing to progress faster in their training. Together we will help you refine your technique (be it in ballet and/or contemporary) and reach your full potential. Private coaching is also a popular choice for dancers during their school and dance school holidays.
